Kicking Off

Okay. So I’m finally starting to get up and running. Took me a while to get WordPress functioning, and then figuring out how to do a rounded-edge box for the primary layout without using gifs. (I’m stubborn like that.) I still need to tweak the colors a bit, but I like nice, simple layouts for my websites. While WordPress is cool now that I’m figuring it out, I don’t want my entire site run on it. I feel like everyone’s doing that, and it’s starting to look disturbingly uniform.

The front page right now features my most recently completed art piece, a set of character avatars illustrated for a friend’s RP character. The character is Cecil, a prince-type character at an all-girls school. You can see the progress images after the jump.

Convention Tips, Tricks, & Conduct

This is an advice and basic rules blog entry originally posted online at LiveJournal in March 2009. It was used as the base for a program book article at AWA 2009. This actually started back in 2007 as an advice email to my hotel roommates for Anime Expo who had never attended a convention before; we’ve been maintaining and updating this information between friends and convention roommates ever since.

I hope you find it as useful as it has been for myself and several others.
